Joining

Once you know how Snailbucket works, it's time to join.

Requirements

• Create an FICS account, which is free.
• Play at least ten rated standard games on FICS.
• Be in good standing with FICS (e.g. you must not be on the abuser list).
• If you're a Teamleague player: Have a good TL record (e.g. no excess of forfeited games).

Based on your history on FICS and/or Teamleague, we may deny your membership.

Creating your account

The Snail Bucket membership is free.

• Send pchesso an FICS message to join.
• Clear some old messages, and "set mailmess 1".
• We'll message you back within the next couple of days.

Joining a Tournament

• Log in.
• The sign-up link and deadline are in the tourney guide.
• Your zero rating will be (re)set with the next batch.

Troubleshooting

• Your FICS username and SB username must be identical.
• Check your spam folder, if an email hasn't arrived.
• Javascript must be enabled to edit your Profile settings.
