Joining

Once you know how Snailbucket works, it's time to join. The Snailbucket and FICS memberships are free.

Requirements

Create an FICS account, unless you have one already.
Play at least five rated standard games on FICS, so that we can give you a rating.
Be in good standing with FICS (e.g. you must not be on the abuser list).
If you're a Teamleague player: don't have too many forfeited games.

Creating your Snailbucket account

Send TD pchesso an FICS message to join.
Include your email address in that message (needed throughout the tourney).
Enable email forwarding on FICS: "set mailmess 1".
We'll send you the link to create your account.
Fill out your profile, sharing your game control preferences etc.; click "submit".
A confirmation email will be sent to you; click the confirmation link in this email.
Check your spam folder, if the email hasn't arrived.

Joining a Tournament

Is there an upcoming tourney? Study the Regulations.
Are you ready to commit? Log in, sign up!
