Snail Bucket is a platform for Slow Time Control Chess Tournaments on FICS, meant to fill gaps between FICS Teamleague editions.

Joining
The Snail Bucket membership is free. Send pchesso an FICS message to join. You must meet the following:
- Create an account on FICS, and play at least ten standard games there.
- Be in good standing with FICS (e.g. you must not be on the FICS abuser list).
- In case you're a Teamleague player: Have a good TL record (e.g. no excess of forfeited games).
- Familiarize yourself with the rules of the upcoming tourney: SB Rapid 1 Tourney guide
Sportsmanship
Assistance of any kind is prohibited during your game. The TDs reserve the right to forfeit and/or ban any player who exhibits poor sportsmanship, lacks common courtesy in game forum negotiations, disrespects an FICS rule laid out in "help abuse", or is in any way a disagreeable troublemaker. We can only monitor posts on our website, but we ask that you practise good sportsmanship in your FICS tells and whispers, too.
Based on your history on FICS and/or Teamleague, we reserve the right to deny your membership. Reasons will not be provided.
